Washington Redskins History: The Redskins franchise was founded in 1932 in Boston Massachusetts as the Boston Braves. The club moved to Washington D.C. in 1937. Between the years of 1936 and 1942, the Redskins had seven consecutive winning seasons and appeared in three NFL championship games.
